Delhi Street Food Festival

Do you love varieties of delicious and mouthwatering food items?  If yes then we have a good news for you. National Association of Street vendors of India (NASVI) is organizing 3 days of National Street food festival starting from 25th December and will continue till 28th December 2014 at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium complex.

 The purpose of this festival is to promote street foods and provide people with the great opportunity to experience food culture of India. There is no need to roam around the country to taste best dishes of every state, Top 800 Food vendors of 25 states with their best dishes will be participating in this festival.
“Food That Empowers” is the food theme of this year. If you think street food only mean Chhole Bhature, bhel puri, gol gappe, and chaat then come to Delhi Street Food Festival to experience variety of delicious and mouth watering dishes. West Bengal Fish and biryani of Hyderabad, Awadhi Chicken and “lehsun ki kheer “of Lucknow,” Lal Peda” and famous Paan of Varanasi, Mawa Kachori of Jodhpur, Ragra Pattis from Mumbai, Mysore pak and chicken 65 from Karnataka will be main attraction of this year’s food festival.
Street food vendors are important link in the food distribution chain and they offer the real taste of Indian foods. The festival will give recognition to street vendors and they learn will new things.
 The food festival will be a different experience because many new things have been added to it such as interactive competitions, cultural programs, cooking classes, vendors’ awards.  Be assured of the quality and cleanliness of foods as a cleanliness and hygiene camp would take place before the festival begins
NASVI has decided to launch a mobile application that would help people to locate nearest food stall to their location. It will also release a book on street food recipes.
Delhi Street Food Festival will be inaugurated by famous chef Sanjeev Kapoor. There is an entry ticket of 50 Rs per person.
